A month after Ruby’s family moved to Ridgecrest in August, Ruby was airlifted to the pediatric ICU at Kaiser Los Angeles. Two months later, Ruby remains hospitalized at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and is undergoing intensive therapy to restore her speech and function to her right side that was paralyzed by severe seizures. Although Ruby has made great progress in recovering use of her right leg and arm, she and her family will remain in the L.A./O.C. area through June as Ruby continues with the therapy needed to regain additional use of her right side and speech. Your prayers for Ruby and her family are greatly appreciated. The relocation of the family has been expensive. Paying rent on an empty house is a tremendous financial hardship. To date, the leasing agency has been unwilling to release Ruby’s family from their twelve month lease. Therefore, it is hoped that another family can be found that can assume the remaining 8 - 9 months of the lease.
